FUNDRAISING AND COMMUNICATION MANAGER

Introduction of Save Vietnam’s Wildlife:
Save Vietnam’s Wildlife is a national Non-Profit organisation in Vietnam that was established in 2014 under Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations with registration license from Ministry of Science and Technology.
Mission: Save Vietnam’s Wildlife works to stop the extinction and champion the recovery of threatened species in Vietnam.
Aims:
- Rescuing, rehabiliation, and releasing confiscated threatened wildlife;
- Delivering effective education programs to empower people to take informed actions.
- Understanding and protecting species and habitats through conservation research
- Improving law enforcement to combat illegal poaching and engaging communities to protect nature.
- Working with both nationally and internationally in advocating for Vietnam’s many endangered and vulnerable species to increase wildlife protection and contribute to conservation efforts.
Introduction to the recruitment job: As the role of a Fundraising and Communication Manager, this important position will take main responsibility in seeking donations and developing fundraising strategy for Organization. In addition, the Fundraising and Communication Manager is responsible for communication activity of the organisation and manage the sites, social media/network, publications, press release… to maintain a brand’s image.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the frontline of conservation for a motivated person who is excited by the idea of spreading the world about Vietnamese conservation.
Duration: Permanent position, a time commitment of approximately two years.
Expected starting date: Immediately.

Responsibilities of Fundraising and Communication Manager:
Fundraising:
- Building and developing short-term and long-term fundraising campaigns for SVW;
- Strategic planning and positioning to diversify and sustain donations;
- Seeking and working with business and organizations in Vietnam to fund for SVW;
- Preparing and delivering the highquality presentations to potential funders;
- Communicating with donors;
- Attending key fundraising events, grants and funder workshops/events in order to meet potential funders, develop relationships;
- Managing a portfolio of supporters, donors;
- Working with project Managers/Team Leaders, providing regular project reports to funders as required;
- Regularly reporting to Executive Director;
- Seeking and writing fundraising proposal.
Communication:
- Collaborate with other teams to identify the public voice of the brand.
- Plan and manage the design, content, and other communication materials.
- Create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events, and promotions.
- Coach and assist team members on improving communication skill.
- Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.
- Perform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategies
Requirements:
- Must be Vietnamese; Fluency in both English and Vietnamese;
- Holding a Master or Bachelor degree;
- Passionate with SVW mission and aims;
- Good organizational and reporting skills;
- Ability to cope with pressure/meet deadlines;
- Experience of developing fundraising budgets and plans;
- Experience of managing and inspiring your team to approach their fundraising creatively and resourcefully;
- Good knowledge of data protection and working knowledge of fundraising standards;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
- Enthusiastic, warm and flexible personality;
- Experience of providing training and support on a database;
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
