ADOPT DAI LAI
THE LEOPARD CAT
about Dai Lai
Dai Lai was transferred from Vinh Phuc Forest Protection Department in 2008 and was the first leopard cat to be rescued by SVW.
A farmer found her and voluntarily handed her over to the local authority. Only about three weeks old and weighing 290 grams, Dai Lai needed special care so the keepers fed her with milk and checked her health and physical condition every day.
After living at the center for a long time, although Dai Lai’s health was good and proved to be very mischievous, she liked to explore everything around, she could not return back to the wild anymore due to being kept in captivity from a very young age.
Transfer of wildlife to a wildlife conservation organization or rescue center ensures that the individual can be cared for in a habitat close to nature and best suited to the wild behavior of the species.
When you symbolically adopt Dai Lai for one year, you are helping to save the Leopard Cat – a wild species of cat that is now threatened in Vietnam.
