JACK THE LARGE INDIAN CIVET

ABOUT JACK

A man, residing in Yen Dinh, Thanh Hoa, heard about a trapped civet in Nghe An. Driven by his love for animals and the environment, Mr. Luc purchased the civet for 5 million VND and arranged for its safe transportation in a timber truck on May 6, 2023. Accompanied by two friends, he drove to Cuc Phuong National Park, where Jack now resides as our proud educational ambassador.

Jack has undergone a surgery for his left front leg, which was necrotic due to animal trap and received intensive treatment for an ulcerated eye.

HOW YOUR ADOPTION HELPS?

Releasing rescued animals doesn’t happen overnight, and unfortunately our educational animals aren’t ever going to be released due to the injuries they have suffered as victims of the illegal wildlife trade.

With your symbolic adoption, you will support us to provide excellent care for not only Jack and permanent residents at our place, but also other rescued pangolins in quarantine waiting to be released. This can include:

Fresh food

Veterinary Supplies

Enclosure Maintenance

Environmental Enrichment
