In November 2021, SVW completed the instruction and distribution of 13 village standees to the Forest Protection and Management Stations and 16 sets of posters for all members of the Anti-poaching team in Pu Mat National Park. This is an initiative to support the Pu Mat National Park Rangers and members of the Anti-poaching team in promoting effective communication of legal knowledge on forest and wildlife protection to local people in the core and buffer zones of Pu Mat National Park.
The standee set for Forest Protection and Management Stations is used at awareness-raising workshops, village meetings, and village events. A set includes 5 standees rolled in aluminum frames, with the contents as follows: The pride of Pu Mat, Do not eat wild meat, Do not hunt wild animals, Do not destroy forests, Join hands to protect Pu Mat forests.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dien Quang, Deputy Head of the Pu Mat National Park Ranger Department: “This is an effective toolkit to support the communication work of the Pu Mat National Park Rangers to the people living in the buffer zone. SVW helped with the content to make it short, simple, and easy to understand, suitable for local people. Another special thing that we really like is that the standees can be flexibly used in one session or separate each part for different purposes.”
In addition to the standee set, SVW has also implemented a set of posters used when going to people’s homes. This set is for the Anti-poaching team when going to each household to raise local people’s awareness.
A poster set includes 3 posters with the following contents: Strictly prohibiting violations against forests and wildlife; Why must we protect forests and wildlife?; Join hands to protect Pu Mat forest. There is also a picture book about endangered animals, their tragic stories, and example cases of violations to forest resources.

To reach its full potential, the Education Outreach team of SVW organized a very detailed instruction session on how to use these awareness-raising kits for the Rangers and Anti-poachers of Pu Mat National Park.
Ms. Le Thi Kim Ngan, Education Outreach Coordinator, instructed members of the Anti-poaching team to use the kits
Ms. Ngan shared: “We hope that these awareness-raising tools will support the forest protection force to spread the love of wild nature as well as the legal regulations on forest protection and natural resources to local people, in order to contribute to change people’s awareness, leading to changing their behavior in the most positive direction towards the natural resources of Pu Mat.”
Mr. Nguyen Huu Trung – a member of the Anti-poaching team added: “These kits will support the forest protection force when carrying out their tasks. The kit is compact and can be easily transported while working. Depending on the audience, we will use this toolkit very effectively.”
After being trained, the Rangers of Pu Mat National Park and members of the Anti-poaching team have been carrying out tasks to raise awareness of local people in the buffer zone of Pu Mat National Park.
