THE MASKED PALM CIVET

about manh

Manh – Rising Above Hardship to Become an “Animal Educational Ambassador”

In May 2025, Manh – one of 230 masked palm civets rescued from two illegal breeding farms in Lang Son – was found with a severe injury: half of his front leg lost after fights in cramped, stressful conditions. This wound left him unable to forage or survive in the wild.

Although Manh cannot return to nature, he has taken on a new journey as an “Education Ambassador”, sharing his story to raise awareness about wildlife protection. His name, Manh, was chosen to symbolize strength and resilience in the face of adversity.

We hope Manh’s journey will inspire the community to protect masked palm civets and end the cruel practice of wildlife farming.
