Young generation in Con Cuong join hands to protect wildlife
Con Cuong, March 17, 2023 – Save Vietnam’s Wildlife – (SVW), Fauna & Flora International organization, Youth Union of Con Cuong district, Pu Mat National Park successfully organized “Con Cuong Youth event: Let’s join hands to protect wildlife”. The event attracted a large number of people and students to participate.
Pu Mat National Park – the pride of Con Cuong is classified as biological value type A, with a diverse number of animal and plant species. However, the illegal use, trade and exploitation of wild animals have been and are the main threats leading to increased extinction rates of many wild animal species with potential negative impacts on the environment and human health.
Therefore, “Con Cuong Youth event: Let’s join hands to protect wildlife” was implemented to raise awareness and propagate to Union officials people, especially the young generation, to join hands to protect wildlife, conserve, restore and protect biodiversity, sharing and spreading the message of civilized consumption and environmentally friendly behavior, contributing to preventing the risk of extinction of wild animals.
During the event, many activities were carried out with enthusiastic support from partners and participating delegates such as: Signing a commitment “Not to buy, sell, hunt, trap, raise or confine wild animals and their products”; Mobile propaganda in villages; Organized a golden bell ringing contest for members of Muong Qua High School; Sports exchange. In addition, delegates can also participate in quiz games at the information booth.
Hopefully, in the coming time, Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) will have more opportunities to coordinate, cooperate and implement many activities on nature and wildlife conservation so that the green forests will forever sing!
