We have rescued over 100 pangolins in the last three months and we keep getting more as our efforts working with government and communities are working, but we need your help to feed and care for the pangolins and get them back into safe wild habitats.

This unit will be trained in skills relevant to anti-poaching such as: species identification, situation management, patrol strategies, night patrols, tracking, navigation, site forensics, first aid, surveillance and survival. They will receive equipment including gun, handcuff, spray, electric baton, and other equipment such as satellite phones for communicating to colleagues. This will help them to confiscate weapons and materials used for hunting wildlife, make arrests and protect themselves from threats of hunters or loggers.
A staff of SVW will join the mobile ranger unit team when they go to patrol in the forests. This person will provide technical support on how to use smartphones to record biodiversity and threats to monitor patrol effectiveness, so poaching hotspots can be identified.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ background_image=”8908″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”full_width_content” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ background_image=”8909″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”padding-3-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”Role of the Anti-Poaching Unit” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%230f9547″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]

Restaurant owners will be punished by law and the guns that are used for hunting wildlife will be confiscated by this task force.
Workshops will be organised to build capacity among the rangers of Pu Mat National Park to improve the effectiveness of habitat protection.
